"The Father" was an unnamed elder in Vishnu. He hired the Marcus Clan and D to rescue his daughter from Baron Mayerling. He makes his appearance in Demon Deathchase.
Appearance[]
He is an older man of fifty or so. With a dignified countenance and silver hair that seemed to give off a whitish glow of its own, anyone would've taken him for the village elder. He was using his left hand to pin his jacket, with its upturned collar, to his chest, while his open right hand covered his mouth. As if to conceal his teeth. He has a reed-thin voice.[1]
Personality[]
He sincerely loves his daughter expressing his last wish not to suffer the same fate as he did, or if she already became a vampire, her death would be a quick one.
Biography[]
Hideyuki Kikuchi's Vampire Hunter D Vol. 3[]
He was the elder of Vishnu village, where he lives with his daughter before she was "kidnapped" by Mayerling. He will catch his daughter during one night when she tries to meet with her lover, hitting her with a stick. He learned that her lover was Noble, and he has already hired Vampire Hunters to kill him. At that moment, Mayerling jumped through the door and bit him as he took the girl away.
After he becomes a vampire, he bites and turns the whole village into vampires.[2] After the Marcus clan’s arrival, the father says that they came too late, but they still need to save his daughter if she is still a human to take her to his sister who lives in the village of Galiusha (Seila), or if she has become one of them to kill Mayerling in their own standing. Asking them to save her life from such a fate, he becomes a vampire and, together with other villagers attack the Marcus Clan but eventually get killed at the end.
Powers and Abilities[]
Kiss of Nobility- after be bitten by Mayerling, becoming a vampire, he turned the rest of the village into the same.
Equipment[]
Million Dala Bag- is promised to be given a similar bag of coins to D or Marcus Clan as a payment of 10 million dalas if his daughter gets back safe to his younger sister.
