Borgoff Marcus in the movie Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust has remote bombs. He seems to be quite the demolitions expert with them, using one as a warning blast to stop the carriage and the rest in areas that will collapse the entire bridge. The bombs seem to have a kick to them wehre one could ultimately be enough to take out the bridge alone easy.
